Ravens reloading Flacco's arsenal this year.

While The Ravens are reloading on offense, it's their defense that should get attention this off-season. That unit was average at best in pass rushing, tackling and in coverage (at all three levels).

Their offensive line isn't in good shape either.

Nor is there QB position. They paid a game manager Brady money and its hurt there whole team. No matter how many weapons Flacco has he will still be average.

In which century is this as good a wr corps as you've seen?

I used the word "solid" for a reason.  Say what you want, but these are vets with moxie. Not to mention that three of them already have a fairly recent championship. That makes them "dangerous".

Owen Daniels could only get a 1 year deal, so he couldn't have had that much desire from teams around the league. Smitty is going to be 34 this year and will likely drop off in terms of production.

The Ravens won their Super Bowl with a VERY mediocre offense (23rd, 19th rushing). Joe Flacco's post season didn't hurt either. Don't expect an offense of past high-profile receivers to be top 5 from their past high-profile receivers. My hardcore Ravens roommate thinks their line is still shoddy - at best - so I doubt these guys really will help their wife-beating runningback much.

Their defense was much improved last year and should be better again this year.  They only have one hole on the O-line either at G or T depending on where they play Osemele.  They had a lot of injuries and a scheme change kinda screwed their offense last year but they've got 7 legitimate targets in the passing game now and Rice back down to his previous playing weight.. they'll be fine.

The Ravens have re-signed Dennis Pitta and Jacoby Jones, as well as signed Steve Smith and Owen Daniels.  These four with Torrey Smith are about as solid a receiving corps as I've seen.

Say what you want about Ozzie Newsome, but that's a man with vision.  As good a drafter as anyone in the league, don't be surprised to see Newsome being surrounded by confetti next February.

Hopefully Gettleman will be on the podium relatively soon...

ARSENAL!

Torrey Smith, Pitta, and Jacoby Jones are established players

Yea but they aren't old though...T Smith is still 25 with some more upside to be found and Pitta is a pretty good TE at 28. Jones is getting up there and isn't that great really. Even Ray Rice is only 27...

I'm not one to think their offense is any good but it's not because they  lack young talent.

Wait....so the Ravens clean house last year to save money....then restock on weapons for their QB the next year when they have money....and now have a competent O to go with the D....And all of the DG haters are praising Ozzie in this thread

Hmmm that sounds awfully similar to what the panthers are doing right now....

The DG haters just destroyed their own argument....not surprised really.

Well, actually  It appears like I am the only one praising Ozzie for making some good moves, rather people want to admit it or not. Time will tell though. I'm just waiting for some idiot to bump the thread and tell me how wrong I was if the Ravens don't win the Super Bowl, which is entirely missing the point.

We're going to have to surround Cam with some legitimate weapons to not just remain as NFCS champions next year, but to go further and win it all.  As for following the path forged by Newsome, that remains to be seen. We will see once the draft is finished, as well as by any more---if any---moves that we make in free agency before the start of the regular season.

I really don't see all the Gettleman haters in this thread, or anyone really praising Ozzie as much as some are seemingly trying to detract from his success and scoff at his moves.  It appears to me that you're trying to frame the thread one way, and, ironically, I see it in a totally different light.
