Things over the past year that Smitty has done that don't correspond to the Gettleman style

That idiot in the Jets jersey deserved it. Don't show up to watch my team in some bullshit like a Cowboy or Jet jersey and talk poo. You're either a bandwagon douchebag or some transplant know-it-all asshole. Quit being a bitch fan, buy a plane ticket, and go to your teams training camp you fuging moron.

I have a major problem with this mentality that Cam can't be the "top dog so to speak".

I saw no problem with Jake getting us to a Super Bowl or the NFC Championship game with Smitty on the field.

There is a huge difference between Jake and Smitty vs Cam and Smitty.

Jake had something I don't know what to call it other than fire.  Smitty has that too.  Thats why they respected each other so much.

Cam has fun, he's not so serious or "fiery"  This is what I feel led to Smitty appearing to "hold Cam back" in a leadership role.

Now all the "fire" is on the other side of the ball and its time to see if Cam can do this his way.

So we want a bunch of offensive players that have fun?

I can get that. Thats not the issue though. Smith was on his way out. Has a few years left. Jake and Cam are not the same people. I think Gettleman wants Cam to groom this new set of receivers.

I think they want Cam to have total control of everything. And i'm telling you I believe in this guy more than any panther player thats ever been here. More than smitty. We all know smitty's personality and his "throw me the fuging ball" routine. I have loved it. But give Cam the full authority where every single person in that huddle is looking at him as the #1 leader and watch this kid blossom. He is that special. It's his time to be the sole voice of this panther offense

Surprised why some people don't get what you're saying.

The Giants set the precedent previously, by cleaning house of Tiki Barber, Jeremy Shockey (etc., and others who mocked or challenged Eli Mannings authority), so Eli could be the top dog. And we all know Steve Smith's personality.

Needless, to say. Eli became the un challenged leader of the G-Men, and the Giants won two Superbowls via Eli, and his receivers stellar play.

Makes sense.

if what smith did irritates DG and Rivera then what the fug is that ish hardy pulls......................

love both guys, but come on there's not a clear cut reason behind the smith release............

Yes there was.

He made too much money. He wasn't as good anymore. And then you throw in the "who's in control of the team offense" question, and you have your answer "why he was cut".

All the other stuff, are just convenient excuses (like Philly's initial "gang affiliation talk" with Djax), axe grinding, and/or speculation by media and fans.
