Cooks has confidence. Makes statement about D-Jax

How long did it take you to do that research? Too easy eh? LOL. That still doesn't prove that Cooks isn't good and won't be successful because that other dude wasn't. Time will tell, but that research still doesn't prove jack. Some of you just love to debate, no matter how irrational your argument is.

What? You realize that two other guys used the Biletnikoff Award as justification to say he is a great receiver right? I merely pointed out that another receiver from the same school, in the same system, recently won the exact same award. He didn't turn out to be a great receiver. I'm not saying Cooks won't be a great receiver BECAUSE he won the award. I'm saying that just because he won the award does not mean he WILL become a great receiver, as the other posters are suggesting.

Oregon State has a history of producing very high receiving numbers. The previously mention Hass was one. Markus Wheaton was one the year before last and the year before that. Jacquizz Rodgers produced as a running back the year before that. James Rodgers was a productive receiver in 2009. Sammie Stroughter before that.

All of these guys are small, fast guys. They are very productive in Oregon State's system. The trend, however, is that none of them are productive on the NFL level. Again, that doesn't mean that Cooks won't be a good receiver because he went to Oregon State. But the track record of those before him doesn't help his case.

And none of this is the reason that I don't believe he will be a good receiver on the NFL level. I don't think he will be very good because he doesn't show a lot of valuable skills outside of being fast.

You don't remember these guys as first round grade receivers do you (minus JR of course, who wasn't a first round grade either)?

Why should we give a crap that some guy who wants to play for the Eagles compares himself to another guy that left, and never mentions us in any way, shape, or form? I'm sure that he'll compare himself to Steve Smith right before our pick, and then I'll care.

By mentioning the award, they were saying his college accomplishments clearly show that he wasn't "mediocre" as I believe you said. I didn't see anyone imply that he was definitely going to be a great pro because of the award. They were disagreeing with you on the mediocre comment. By the way his college performance clearly shows that he wasn't mediocre while at Oregon state University.

He already said that he patterned his game after Smitty.

The reason that we should "give a crap" is that he may be available when we pick (not to mention being an interest of the FO as well),

Eagles aren't going to take a WR i the first, not if a top Saftey, CB or Pass Rusher is there.

That being said I still don't see him falling to 28. If he's there though I'd take him.

I don't see Smitty when I see this kid, not yet, but I do see another WR I like a lot: TY Hilton.

No way Cooks is stupid enough to compare himself like that to Smith.  Difference between Smitty and Desean Jackson is, Smitty would deal with you himself if you talked trash.  Jackson would need his gang homies...plus Steve Smith is 500x the receiver Desean Jackson is or ever will be.

Dude, you obviously haven't researched this guy.  He runs good routes, has great hands, high-points the ball, and reportedly stops and starts on a dime better than some have ever seen (and, yes, several analysts/scouts actually said this).  Dane Brugler of CBS sports likened him to a video game player in so many words:

Special athlete with explosive feet and natural burst - springs in his legs. Fluid body control with excellent start/stop moves, open-field vision and patient hesitation to elude defenders - joystick moves with loose hips and joints. Beautiful acceleration with speed to burn - electric after the catch.
