Disagree. He's opening himself up to quite the can of worms if he struggles as a rookie, and odds are fairly significant that he will.

 

People get too caught up, and enamored with prospects on this board, they can't see without blinders on.

You didn't actually read the full quote, did you?

 

He started by praising the heck out of Desean. After that he then speculated that if the Eagles want to pick him, that maybe he'll make them forget about DJax.  Because he thinks he can be better.  Of course he should think that.  If he didn't, then he wouldn't have the right mindset at all.

I would think most players believe things like this, that's being an athlete.

 

Still, that being said, that doesn't mean all of them declare to the media that they will be better than an all-pro before even being drafted.

Fair enough.  I just happen to think the way he said it was fine.  I didn't feel that he disrespected Desean in any way, he just displayed his own confidence that he can be great.
