Would it be worth it to trade up...?

It's not pinned because there is no discussion to be had. It's been said over and over. The draft is deep in the positions we need. Why trade away picks when we can draft multiple guys? This should be a consensus but these topics keep coming back up.

Next someone will ask why we haven't cut Deangelo and Stewart.

then why even click on the thread if youre not interested?  there wasn't another thread on it on the first page so who gives a poo?  just ignore it if you are already "in the know" on the subject.

Only player I would really trade up for is Watkins and that isn't gonna happen.   He'll be the 1st WR off the board so unless you are willing to trade up the #5 spot.

I wonder who died and made this discussion a dead topic.   While I agree the chances are slim anything is possible in the NFL.   What if the deal included Hardy and another #1 say Cleveland.  It is feasible.  They are looking for a QB that might be had at 28 and they would get an elite DE.   You never know and the "know it all's"  Don't know it all.

Depends on what it costs to move into the 11-19 range to draft one, but I don't see the top tackles falling that far.

A few mocks show the Rams will probably draft one, eg. Robinson; then the Bills, eg. Matthews; and then Taylor Lewan and Zack Martin go in the teens, mostly to the Ravens and Dolphins.

So if the cost of moving up to the teens is a mid round pick (let's say for argument a 4th), and by drafting Lewan or Martin that fills our LT for the next decade, then it would be worth it. After all, there is enough depth to go receiver in the 2nd and 3rd if the plan is to draft two receivers.

Now there might be an argument to wait and see who is available when we come to the board in the first, as there could be someone available at that point, or we could trade back with a team with an early second round pick to accumulate more picks then draft a tackle then.

Personally I'm not sure which option is the best, but as long as we get Gross and Smith's long term replacements then that's all that matters.
