Lamarcus Joyner

One guy that no one is talking about is Lamarcus Joyner. I honestly believe that this guy is a real possibility for the Panthers in Round 1 or 2. He would start at FS from day one, while also possessing the ability to play the slot and return kicks. He is similar to Tyrann Matheiu and Kenny Vaccaro in this way. The difference is that Lamarcus Joyner is the prime example of a team player and role model on the field. He plays with intensity but isn't a RAH RAH guy. I think he would thrive in our defense.

I think FS is being highly overlooked right now.  All indications show Godfrey is either cut or is a flex CB/S and Harper+Lester are at SS.

We basically have Colin Jones.

Joyner could be solid.  I really like Dion Bailey and Kenny Ladler though.  There could be some diamonds in this FS class that seems less than spectacular to most.

I've brought up his name on here a couple times already. Joyner is one of my favorite player in this draft. I would not mind him at 28 at all, but would love him in the 2nd. The kid is tough as nail! He's only 5'8 but has a nasty vertical leap that helps him cover taller/bigger receivers. Also a deadly returner.

Joyner would make a nasty FS.

Totally agree with this and think it is valid.  Once Godfrey is deemed healthy he could very well be cut or restructured.  I do think that there are adequate replacements in the late rounds to fill the void but as OP said you get a player that makes immediate impact.  I am sure that it will definitely stress the servers on the Huddle but not sure if it is such a bad selection.

Joyner is solid and I'm also a big fan of Bailey. Watched some draft breakdown of a couple of WRs and he jumped out at me often. Would love to scoop Bailey up at S.

I can totally see Bailey in a Rivera defense. I've seen a few sites comparing him to Weddle as well (which is a lofty comparison to say the least) but just think the dude is a baller.
