If the Texans don't take him, I believe there is a 99% chance we move up to get him at #2. We were basically running his drills today in Columbia and it's not secret Dimitroff wants him. I just hope we can get away with only giving up our 2nd to get there. I would love to sit tight and take Mack, but I don't think he makes it to us either now.

 

I'm still highly pissed that Carolina can build such a damn pass rush with a 3rd and 6th rounder. That's BS.

Knowing that he's unanimously projected as a top 3 pick, and yet, the Falcons are still having him in for a visit at the 6th pick, I was just thinking earlier that I think the Falcons are going to try to move up to take him.

 

And yes, that scares me.  Especially if Bell is our LT and considering the current horrible state of our OL.

Could we have to game plan for him someday? Sure. But other teams are far more stressed game planning for Hardy, CJ, Keek, and Cam than we would ever be about him. I'm fine with that. Good chance he is nothing better than above average (at best) pass rusher anyway.

If the Falcons move up to take him I hope they pay dearly for it. That will make me feel a little better. On top of that it gives the Rams more ammo to turn the NFC west into slaughterhouse which would help our chances for a wildcard(if we need it).

 

But yeah I'm pretty sure Clowney will murder our O-line if we don't get serious help.
