If we double dip at Wr what would be your favorite combo?

WOW!!

Which OL are you going to pick at #28 that is likely to be on the board? Surely you're not going to say an OG. I view 1st round OGs as luxury picks and we're not in the position to make a luxury pick. IMO, WR and OT are of about equal importance and there's likely to be much better value at WR at #28.

Zack Martin, probably, although depends if somebody falls. OT is of greater importance than WR because with a good OL, mediocre receivers will have enough time to get open, and it also hugely improves the run game which allows you more freedom with your pass plays.

No one is guaranteed to be there at pick #28 that I'd say is worth it either. If a good OT is available I would pass on Cooks, OBJ, and Benjamin. But again, has to be one good enough.

I'll be surprised if we don't take 2 WRs in this draft.  By all accounts, this is one of the deepest WR classes in recent draft history and we have a huge need at WR.  I don't know when those 2 WRs will be drafted, but I expect them to be drafted.  Hell, it wouldn't shock me if we double dipped at 2 positions.  WR, OT, CB, and S could all use a double dip with WR and OT being the two most likely simply because of the depth of the class at those 2 spots.

Hopefully he gets # 2 if we don't draft a TE.

Scenario 2.

1.LT |  Cyrus Kouandjio

2.WR | Jordan Mathews

3. WR | Donte Moncrief

I have serious concerns about Kouandjio, but if Gettleman and the medical staff feel comfortable about him and we could land both Matthews and Moncrief... hell, go for it.  I would just be shocked to see Matthews still on the board when we're on the clock in the 2nd. The guy put up huge numbers in the SEC without a top QB and as pretty much the only receiving threat on the roster and his measurements and workouts back up the production.  That's as sure of a thing as you can get in the draft.  I think he's the safest WR pick in this draft.  Not the highest ceiling, but the safest.

I think there is a chance you can get Kouandjio in the 2nd. But if he or Martin are there at 28 it will be hard to pass up. Then you could double dip wr 2 and 3 2 and 4 or 3 and 4 and still get at least 1day one starter.

Don't worry this is all hypothetical. Some people just didn't get pick to play Wr in pop warner and still are carrying a grudge.

Agreed. Would be shocked if it happened.

I won't be shocked if we double dip.  With the depth at WR in this draft, I would have to think that BPA would be a WR several times.  My point was only that getting this worked up over it is just setting people up for a complete meltdown if it does not happen....and it not happening is a real possibility.
