DeSean Jackson agrees to terms with Redskins

Yeah like every year. It is surprising that Snyder keeps overspending for players and they still suck most of the time. If they played in the NFC South they would get fewer victories than they do now.

Weren't they under a 2 year financial penalty and could barely sign any FAs? You see, that crap you typed probably sounded so well in your head but it's myth. By the way, this isn't baseball. They have a cap like everyone else. They just managed it better than us. Stop hating.

lolz at anyone who thought he might come here.

Darren Heitner of Forbes.com has reported that the deal is worth $24 million over three years, with $16 million guaranteed.  And that’s $16 million fully guaranteed.  Upon signing.  Money in the bank.

This is probably the worst fan-base in the league. You guys have no idea how this fanatic thing work. Just because you're a carolina fan doesn't mean you have to be nasty for no reason about other teams and their players. You guys are relegated to being a group of trolls instead of fans. It's surprising that when you go to other message boards that they have the utmost respect for Cam. I know this team is young and lack deep rooted traditions but seriously, enough of this nonsense. Them signing jackson had nothing to do us. RG3 will be alright. To play devil's advocate, he had as many playoffs appearances as cam.

And, injury is part of the game. Peyton and brad.y can tell you all about it.

I've never been to another teams board where more than a handful of people there would piss on Cam Newton if he were on fire. The oerwhelming majority have a personal hatred toward him and it's a small few that even post something positive about the guy. It is what it is. fug them and their teams.

yeah i mean you can't go to the falcons board or saintsreport without clicking a thread that doesn't contain someone praising cam

Im referring to jets and redskin. They're pretty decent. I respect their style. They don't get into personal attacks a lot. There's actually a flow to their topics. Here, any keyword send everyone into a frenzy. Keywords like Vick, RG3, etc. Lol

i mean seriously most of the rival fans in our division are also fans of SEC teams and hated him when he was at auburn.  then he got drafted by a team in the division and they have to see him twice every season.  he's maybe clawed his way to some grudging respect among NFL fans in general but any kind of discourse regarding him usually devolves to "scam is a disgrace who will never win consistently" and "LOL LAPTOP".

with him getting all the guaranteed upfront, it's pretty much a 1 year deal right?  if he sucks and has problems they can cut him.  If we plays great, he can bitch about not making enough, and then they cut him right?

Believe me dude, I read a lot of 'he's no cam newton' on forums throughout the league. I'm not saying you will get that a lot in division because of the competitive nature. Outside of that realm cam is well regarded especially with teams that are in search of a QB.

Sorry but Jackson is not going to turn that team around. Lets be real here, he ended up averaging 5 catches a game for around 85 yards in an offense that plays hurry up and tries to have more plays than the other team. So now he goes to a more traditional offense which likely reduces his catches as well as his yards. Say it is sour grapes but his now 4 catches a game and average of 65-70 yards is not going to make the Skins a world beater or Jackson worth an exorbitant salary.

You guys love to hate on players the panthers don't sign. Desean Jackson is a game changer, period end of story.

I see that and agree on the surface, but if that were true, why did Philly basically pay him to leave?  Kelly is not a church choir director-he has had some challenging players with off-field issues.  Until that question is answered, the story is not over.  It comes down to this:  Why did Philadelphia's reason for cutting a star "game changer" not seem to matter to the Redskins?

I think, if he would have come here for a reasonable price, I would have accepted him with reservations.  Watching a player for 3 hours on Sunday does not paint the full impact of his presence in the locker room and in the public eye off the field.  The NFL has brands and it is a business.  A player who tarnishes that brand is not worth the risk in most cases.

There is no end to the story.  There is an end to chapter 1.
