Cyrus Kouandjio revisted

All very good questions. As Mayock stated he had inconsistent film which makes me question his motor.

Of this past season the only two games were he ayes bad were the opening game against VT and the bowl game against OU. The rest of the season he played like a first round tackle. You can see that in his sophomore season as well.

It may be he is still a bit raw which is OK. He has lost 11 pounds and states his number will improve at his pro days.

I am holding on to hope because he has all the physical attributes to be a stud LT which is rare

He'll blow his combine numbers out of the water at his pro day and his tape says first round Andrews says his knew is ok. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want this guy

Kiper says he's the biggest risk at OL in the draft

"Alabama offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio entered the 2013 college football season as one of the early favorites to establish himself worthy of the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but he failed to live up to the expectations and is now considered a borderline first-round pick.

Along with the disappointing season on the field, there are some medical red flags that have teams concerned, and ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. believes Kouandjio is the biggest question mark among the offensive and defensive lineman prospects in this year’s draft."

I saw that this morning as well. It's Mel Kiper we're talking about here. How much value do we put in his evaluations anymore since his primary goal is to sell copies of his books, drive traffic on ESPN.com and ESPN channels. Heck, maybe it's an endorsement (backhanded) so that whoever picks him can get the "What dummies!" on draft day only to get a pat on the back when he plays well?

I honestly have no idea. I guess the way I look at it is if G-Man and our coaches think he can be a quality LT, take'em!

so far, I take Getty's opinions over Kiper's.   Still, I hate to make a risk-reward pick in the first.

I agree, but how much of the risk is media based?  I mean, one of our team surgeons cleared his knees.  So does it become a non-issue versus his other pros and cons?  The dude absolutely looks like he could be an awesome tackle!  Can his physical tools be harnessed as a LT with our coaches?

Then again, in G-man we trust!  He knows all of this, and I'm sure he talks to the coaches to see what they see/think they can do with a given guy.  I mean, that's what I would do, but I'm not a GM!
