DNewton from ESPN thinks Panthers wants Godfrey back

Godfrey was doomed as a Panther the day he came out onto the field for his very first practice, wearing #30.

Ever since then he has been the target of abuse by most fans, dispite being one of the best safeties the Panthers have had. Is a shame his talent has been wasted on less talented defenses.

While I agree that he's being paid to much, he has been a very good and consistent player for us. He shined at free safety, and that was without our current front seven.

The only way I would want godfrey back is on a serious pay cut. Beason was in this same predicament a few years ago and we know how that turned out. And btw godrey is no jon beason in any fashion.....

When Godfrey gets back healthy, I'm expecting him to be cut. Not before that though.

That's a great point. We're also carrying a guy named RJ Webb who tore his ACL in mini camp who we have yet to cut.
