I still think trading down and picking up an extra 3rd is a good idea, this draft is very deep.  hell maybe trade our 3rd and the extra 3rd and get back into the 2nd round making it 3x 2nd rounders could definitely find 3 starters and still snag Brandon Colemon in the 4th.

 

Not a bad plan at all.

 

Jordan Matthews, Billy Turner, Kyle Fuller (or Verrett or some good solid 2nd round DB) in the 2nd, Coleman in the 4th.  Outstanding.

Talent-wise, Luke was projected sure fire top 5. The big hang up and debate over him was drafting a 4-3 LB in the top 5

 

There was literally nothing I ever seen saying Kuechly was a Top 5 pick. In fact, CBS Sports had him ranked 10th. Other outlets had him ranked 11th-15. Some had him as high as 7th. Looking back, yes, he should've been a top 5 pick, but that isn't the way the Draft is done.

Phil Steele and I believe Draftek were all about Luke. A lot of independent reads were all about Luke.

I remember some mocks had him going in the second round.....because "nobody drafts a MLB in the top 5"

Kelvin does not fit the Gman requirement. He will last into the second Rd unless Jets or Browns take him! That would be good news for us
