5 1/2 weeks to go....

Recommended Posts

I plan trips to away games - Tampa, Baltimore, and Atl this year. Therefore the schedule release day is very exciting for me. That's why I was asking if anyone else was excited for that. The draft is also very exciting for us fans, which is why I didn't think my question was so inappropriate for this thread.

Makes sense.... my apologize

I also usually have a #1 target favorite (Star, Brockers, Cam in the last 3 years for example).  This year I don't.  I have about 5 guys who are my #1 favorites and 9 or 10 others who I'd be plenty pleased with.  Top 5 or so are Lewan, Ebron, Lee, OBJ, Matthews.

I want Cooks or Benjamin. Would be pretty upset not getting one of those. Oh and I very very very badly want Matthews but I understand taking him at 28 would be a reach, and he won't fall to us in the 2nd.

My dream would be for either Lewan or Ebron to fall, but that's highly doubtful, even as there are sure to be some surprise picks. Most people are clamoring for a WR and some of them would excite me, but an OT still seems like the pick. Even if the pick ends up being Moses or someone who is a "reach". Also, before anyone says he's a 2nd rounder, you haven't seen Gettleman's draft board. For all we know, Moses or someone could be a Top 15 player to him, and thus, BPA.

First, Luke fell to us! Then year after that, Star fell to us.

A long shot, but I'm hoping his refusal to participate in pro day might make him drop all the way to 28:

Taylor Lewan.

Then Antonio Richardson in the Second

BADASSSSS

Luke didn't fall. He was projected to go anywhere in the middle of the first round, and that's exactly where he went.

Less than three weeks until the schedule comes out. Anyone else excited for that too?

It's bitter sweet for me. I'm excited as hell to see the schedule but I am dreading knowing the three days where I will be forced to rub elbows and share oxygen with fat loser Steelers, Bears, and Browns fans.

I still think trading down and picking up an extra 3rd is a good idea, this draft is very deep.  hell maybe trade our 3rd and the extra 3rd and get back into the 2nd round making it 3x 2nd rounders could definitely find 3 starters and still snag Brandon Colemon in the 4th.

Well the draft is almost here.   I think for the first time in many years I haven't had a clear cut favorite that I was pulling for.

Any number of players could fall to us.   One crazy move by any of the 27 teams ahead of us and we could have a coveted player or get robbed of someone we were pretty certain would be there.

Do you have your clear cut, gonna be pissed if we don't select him, favorite?    If So, WHO?

It's hard to be pissed when 27 players will go before we select.

I really can't jump on a favorite because of the events that are out of our control on draft day.

I believe it's just best to have a list of favorites and be happy if we bag a solid player.

Actually, I think people will be more pissed if we don't select a position than not selecting a particular player.

Talent-wise, Luke was projected sure fire top 5. The big hang up and debate over him was drafting a 4-3 LB in the top 5

I'm not seeing that anywhere. All I'm seeing is Day 1 references. Walterfootball had him mocked to the Bills right after out pick.

It's funny rereading the reports that say he lack athleticism, yet his combine numbers are right there with Super Athlete Patrick Willis.
