Really hope we get him... It would be a significant improvement from last year.. Also give us a chance to double up on tackles first two rounds. Or go tackle, Cb, then try to find a talented but raw receiver with potential in the third

Damnit do you guys watch anything other than the Panthers on Sundays? No not just one picture, if you watched the days leading up to the pro bowl and not just the game you would know what he was talking about.

Is it that big of a deal, are you that desperate for attention. Who actually watches the days leading up to the probowl....and who even watches the probowl itself...? Besides, tons of player sin the league are friends, this isn't the NBA where it is easier to work out a deal to play with your buddies anyway. The fact they "hung out" being used as your support for why he would pick us over another team is pretty weak.

If he comes here cool, if he doesnt than oh well.

As long as a contract could be worked out that doesn't kill our cap future we should try to sign him.

Interest you say? I'm interested in a Jessica Alba/Alyssa Milano three-way but it won't happen. Or will it?

If you hung out together at the Pro Bowl then according to the huddle theres like a 90% chance of it happening.

more like 3.5 in cap according to the nflpa site

Yeah and cutting Godfrey would only save $2m. It can be done if we really want him though. Small base with most of this year's payment being a signing bonus.

I'm not even gonna try to guess his market value right now, but he would've made 10.5m with Philly this year. If we wanted to match that (no way we will, just an example) we could give him like a 2-year deal (+dummy years, Getts loves dummy years) with a $7.5m signing bonus with and $3m base and his cap hit would only be 4.5m this year and he still gets his 10.5m. Actually the hit would only be $4m since it would bump one of the rookie minimum guys out of the top 51.

Again, he doesn't deserve nor will he get that much, but signing him is certainly possible.
