Desean Jackson released *update* Rivera interested *UPDATE X2* Rivera interest was a smokescreen?!

Him being associated with a crip isn't really relevant to me.  Growing up in Cali (I live here now) it's understandable because it's pretty prevalent still (though not overtly).  However, he's a diva who constantly wants more money.  He's held out on his football team for money.  "Me me me!" says Desean.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Pros Playmaker Offenseive weapon Special teams weapon Home run hitting ability. Can score at any given moment. Speed. Great Hands. Ability to burn secondaries. Prime of his career. Cons Will demand an unbelievable amount of money we can't afford. Has a possibility to become discontent and become a locker room cancer. May become a distraction. Looking at the pros and Cons. There is not a doubt in my mind Jackson would benefit this team. Unfortunately the Cons, even though are less. Weigh more in this situation. Having little to no money is the deciding factor in this. Not that we do not have the need of a play maker. He will demand a ridiculous amount of money.

I'm alot more open minded when it comes to these things. I have 3 foster boys, 2 are in gangs and the other has his own issues involving the law.

@JamesDockery31 Djack allegedly had gang member friends? Lol c'mon man who doesn't when you've grown up in So-cal. ... come to CLT!

Should he maybe not advertise some stuff? Sure. But at the end of the day he's been able to stay out of trouble as far as we know, and that should say alot about him imo.

i would be a lot more open minded if my house wasn't tagged by gang members and hells angels or my sister and i weren't threatened because my father locked up a bunch of them when i lived in cali.

then this asshole has the nerve to say this guy should be free. some people don't realize the magnitude of this kind of stuff sitting behind their computers typing away. You ALWAYS have to be careful and aware of the company you keep. always.

its a sad truth to the situation. i have several friends locked up for murder, but i would never scream free so-and-so, that is dumb.

its a shame tho you get more time for conspiracy to sell drugs compared to murder.

Yeah, the Free Tressy or whatever is dumb.  He can be your boy but don't be stupid.

Desean just needs to stop being an idiot.

Also, yes the system is completely retarded as well.

Why would he post stuff like free this man or whatever. It's fine if he is old buddies with him and spends time with him in prison. But that kind of talk is beyond stupid. Like the free Hernandez caps pouncey was wearing

its just how some people are. i do not agree with saying it, and its not like he will be set free either. but  the article said the police found him to have  no connection to the murders.

I can guarantee we've had players in the past with gang ties. I bet even Smitty knew a handful of gang members or friends of friends. Jarrett too. If DJ is in serious connections with the murder, then yes, steer clear. If he has ties to a gang, big deal. That has nothing to do with his actions on the field.

And before you take the word of the Eagles at face value, and whoever these anonymous snakes are putting this stuff out there, Desean releases a statement:

http://fansided.com/2014/03/28/desean-jackson-releases-statement-release/#!BKrux

First I would like to thank the Eagles organization, the Eagles fans and the city of Philadelphia for my time in Philly. I would also like to thank coach Andy Reed for bringing me in. Secondly, I would like to address the misleading and unfounded reports that my release has anything to do with any affiliation that has been speculated surrounding the company I keep off of the field,” Jackson said in a statement, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“I would like to make it very clear that I am not and never have been part of any gang. I am not a gang member and to speculate and assume that I am involved in such activity off the field is reckless and irresponsible. I work very hard on and off the field and I am a good person with good values. I am proud of the accomplishments that I have made both on and off the field. I have worked tirelessly to give back to my community and have a positive impact on those in need.

“It is unfortunate that I now have to defend myself and my intentions. These reports are irresponsible and just not true . I look forward to working hard for my new team. God Bless.”
