I've grown up in the Bay Area, and I have so many friends in prison with gang affiliations it's sickening. I have several friends in San Quentin for various felonies, several close friends in Tehachapi, Corcoran, Deuel Tracy, and Susanville. My little brother is in San Quentin right now and is a validated gang member. My wife's younger brother was stabbed to death because he was a dropout, left to die on a sidewalk.

I hung out with these guys my entire childhood and would have died for any one of them at some point, but they've made their choices and I've made mine and now I'm happy doing the 9-5 wife and kids and picket fence thing. This might have little to do with Desean Jackson I'm just saying having ties to gang members doesn't necessarily make you a piece of sh!t.

 

congrats bro. i know the struggle, of coming from an area that has nothing but violence, gang activity etc. and beating those odds as well. its about what you want in life, and wanting more for your future and family. my parents did everything they could do to keep me away from the streets, and i think they did a helleva job.

To be fair, Person also ran with the story that Brandon Beane was in consideration for the GM job. That turned out to be completely unfounded (pretty sure he was just parroting Pat Yasinskas at the time).

Granted, he might be right about this, but I don't treat Person's word as gospel.

If by gospel you mean his sources are from 2000 years ago then yeah, persons word is gospel.
