I was about to say "i strongly disagree" but finally i strongly agree with you.

I see one major reason, Gettleman take full responsability for any decision so Cam can't be blamed, and the harmony of the team is preserved.

Our WR competition is going to be awesome.  NO ONE is slotted into any particular spot.  We'll have 10 or 15 guys fighting to be the top 4 or 5.   It is scary yes, but Cam is a good QB he'll find his go to guy from this group.

OK, let's say that's the case. Maybe you might want to check in with your 'top employee', who you have placed a heavy burden on for his entire career and is pretty much the only reason your company is succeeding, before you fire most of his fellow employees. He might not want to be taking on even more tasks, and would be interested in going to a different company where he can get paid more money and have more talented people to work with. If you tick off your employees, they don't want to stay.

 

If you honestly think Cam is going to want to stay here when he has nobody to protect him and nobody to throw to, I don't know what to say. What quarterback in the league wants to go into the season with Byron Bell as a starting tackle (let alone their left tackle) with Jericho Cotchery as their top receiving option?

Cam has already been doing that, the point is people want the TEAM to be better.  In order for the team to be a real contender the talent on offense has to be upgraded everywhere but QB and TE.

Again I ask you to look at all the Young QB'S drafted in the last 5 years and see what was added after them.

Even Jacksonville added more weapons to help Gabbert then we have done for Cam.

Yes no team is a 1 person thing but their are examples of1 person carrying a heavy ass load. When it comes to certain teams.

Without Cam this offense doesn't have a running game in the top 10 or able to be 1 of the best 3rd down conversion teams. Cam made the oline, the running game and the WR corp look better then they really were.
