1. This is not an isolated incident. It is just the only one made public via video.

2. This is not a mistake or a temporary lapse in jugement. This type of behavior is an indicator of a deep seeded flaw similar to sociopathic behavior. It is resistant to treatment and does not change with "awareness" of the error of their ways. The abuser only appears remorseful when a) caught by an outside source or b ) a necessary tactic to get his way

3. Most abusers look like upstanding citizens to the rest of the world.

Many abused women are treated like queens in between episodes of abuse. That keeps them confused and often feeling they are to blame for the abuse. Does the good outweigh the bad? That is the logic/guilt trip that has resulted in abused women staying in the relationship. It has also killed many of them.

If the worst thing you have done in your life is abuse a spouse/partner, a child, an elderly person, or an animal....then yes.......it is fair to judge you by that "incident."

You're a woman, so I wouldn't even attempt to debate an issue such as domestic violence with you and I don't mean any disrespect when I say that. I just know women have extreme views on the subject and debating you might come off the wrong way. Without diving deep into personal lives, I'm not a stranger when it comes to domestic violence and I know it's never as simple as a man hitting a woman.

Where did I say he shouldn't do time or that his behavior was acceptable?

I'm not sure about Ray Ray not doing any jail time.

He was indicted, not convicted. If the fiancé isn't going further, then it would be a much tougher case to prove without some kind of video or eye-witness evidence clearly showing that he hit her assuming it can even proceed without a complaining witness.

Also, it's worth noting that both he and the fiancé were arrested, meaning she did something to him as well and that there appears to be footage of exactly what happened. I am in no way condoning his action and knocking her out sure as hell was not his only option, but I agree that there is more to the story than the public is seeing.
