Ray Rice indicted on 3rd degree aggravated assault

Depends on what type of person he is outside of that and if it's an isolated incident. Would you want to be judged on the worst thing you've done in your life?

Everyone should be judged. ALWAYS. Society needs more judging.

A mistake is dropping a dinner plate and spilling pasta on your fiancé's lap. A mistake is NOT knocking her out cold with your fists.

As imperfect beings we should never judge without being in that person's shoes. You don't know Ray Rice. I'm not making excuses for the man, but people are too quick to judge someone you've never met.

You're right. That b*tch prolly never even thanked him for holding the door for her. I guess she totally deserved it. My mistake for "judging" a guy who punched his fiancé in the face

You also "dont know" Timothy McVeigh, Charles Mansion, or Jerry Sandusky. So we shouldnt judge them either right?

The fact that you compared Ray Rice to mass murderers and a child rapist proves my point exactly.

Never compared. Just used your own terrible logic against your argument. Can you judge those people? Yup. Can you judge a man who beats his fiance? Of course.

Everyone should be judged on everything they do. You dont want to be judged harshly? Try not blasting your fiance in the face with a closed fist, knocking her out cold. Just a thought.

How do you know he blasted her with a cold fist? Of course you can judge, but kind of a silly thing to do when you sit imperfect yourself.

And judging a convicted rapist and mass murderers is totally different then judging a guy that had a dispute with his fiancée that escalated to a point I'm sure they both regret.

I have a friend of mine, him and his wife used to fight constantly. Probably still do, I actually sat in the backseat of the car as she beat the poo out of him one night. He pushed her off real hard and her head hit the window. Could have knocked her out. 30 minutes later it was like nothing happened. I didn't get involved, mainly because he's 6'6 and because she was the aggressor. That's their relationship and I don't get involved into people's personal relationships because there are things we can't see. Not an excuse just perspective.

mistakes seem to come from not knowing right from wrong, must have the mentality of a 5 year old.

Mistakes also occur when you have choices and one happens to be the better of the two. This is not one of those cases. It's only a mistake because he was on camera when it happened.

1. This is not an isolated incident.  It is just the only one made public via video.

2. This is not a mistake or a temporary lapse in jugement.  This type of behavior is an indicator of a deep seeded flaw similar to sociopathic behavior. It is resistant to treatment and does not change with "awareness" of the error of their ways.  The abuser only appears remorseful when a) caught by an outside source or     b ) a necessary tactic to get his way

3.  Most abusers look like upstanding citizens to the rest of the world.

But do you judge him by how he treats her in one moment, or many? I don't know them, they could have a perfect relationship where he treats her like a queen outside of that incident or he could be oj Simpson, idk. Does the good outweigh the bad? That's something only she can answer.

Many abused women are treated like queens in between episodes of abuse. That keeps them confused and often feeling they are to blame for the abuse. Does the good outweigh the bad?  That is the logic/guilt trip that has resulted in abused women staying in the relationship.  It has also killed many of them.

If the worst thing you have done in your life is abuse a spouse/partner, a child, an elderly person, or an animal....then yes.......it is fair to judge you by that "incident."
