Gettleman Isn't a People's Person

Well we can all pretend that Rivera sat there to make sure they are on the same page and lets forget the combine interview where Gettleman shocked the entire fan base.  The interview Rivera sat in on was the biggest interview in my opinion in a venue that was just as big.

to you, that is a smack to dave.

it could also mean just to make sure that they are both on the same page.

but i guess your interpretation brings more drama so we'll go with that.

Is it Rivera's job to make sure the G.M. stays on point?  To me that is a smack to Dave like he is a bonehead that doesn't know what or what not to say.  If you read the entire article that means Ron was the only coach that sat in during the interview.  No boss ever needs their employee to sit there with them to nod when they are right, and give a dumbass stare when they crossed the line.

and i'm still trying to find out how that = not being a "people's person"

When someone speaks for an organization and rubs the entire fanbase the wrong way and their way of handling their star players was a trending topic, then that is obviously not the way the situation was supposed to be handled. Players fled, retired and time will tell if we are able to get relevant free agents for more than a one year contract in their prime.

The entire fan base? lol I think only the madden indoctrinated fans. And what players fled, or retired because of DG?

Swartz and Wharton considered retiring. And let's not forget about Gamble. D.G. made an attempt to keep Lafell, lol and he left and Ginn fled for dear life.

Schwartz? Seriously? He didn't play under gettlemen. And the rest got bigger contracts.

Swartz?

gamble retired because he didn't feel like playing anymore.

ginn fled for $$ that we didn't have. same with other players who went elsewhere. we didn't have money to pay for them.

keep on trying to throw that poo, tho. it's quite entertaining.
