Gettleman Isn't a People's Person

You won't do a bid for someone accepting the challenge.  Lethal weapon is usually another meaning for someone losing control.  A true fighter can play and hit the right areas without causing damage.  Make it more of toying with someone, so that lethal weapon talk is bogus.  Any trained person would not be fighting an unskill fighter with the thought of them fighting for their life.

Sounds good though.

I would accept teh challenge but my fists have been declared lethal weapons by a judge due to my training by NAVY SEALS. I ain't gonna do a bid for kicking someone's butt.

One thing you don't get is the fact that if the G.M. isn't a people's person then that could possibly trickle down to the players.  No one wants to play for a team that disrespects players or mislead players.  Football is a team sport so if the G.M. isn't building that team chemistry and team infastructure then the house could come down.  Tampa Bay felt the effects from their head coach.

The man could be the best talent searcher in the world but if no one is respecting him and the players don't have confidence that the Panthers is a place they can comfortably call home, then him being a good evaluator is pointless because only old washed up players will come here for the vet minimum and potential talents will come here to strengthen their resume' for a one year deal then they will leave.

I don't give a flying rat's ass if he's a "peoples person".

His job is to be a "football guy".

As long as he's that, who cares whether or not he's warm and fuzzy?

If he gets the job done, he can be a Joe Person for all I care.

Well if I had been killed by a trained seal then you would be talking with my ghost.  That lethal weapon bullshit talk is that.  If you are trained to kill then you know when to use lethal force and not.  If you don't have the sense to properly judge when to use lethal force then you my friend have no self control.  Either way, trained navy seal or not, if you step to me, it's on and popping, no matter the outcome.  Just trust you will know I was at your door knocking.

Spoken like someone who has never been killed by a Seal trained badass.

the players are worried about money.  gettlemen will pay who he wants to play here.  you people's need to understand that we have no money this year.

You are saying that as if this is the only year the team will play.  Once the cap gets settled, if the word gets out you will get treated like poo in Carolina, then it wouldn't be the choice place to come play for free agents.

People person be darned, all I care about is the fact Gettleman is  one of the best in the NFL at evaluating talent, from college players to experienced veterans. That he has been a part of six teams that reached the Super Bowl -- including three that won it -- between Buffalo, Denver and the Giants is no coincidence. He helped each get there.

Now he's proving he can be just as valuable as the Panthers man in charge.Personally,I am glad be is our GM and feel like he has done an outstanding job, considering the problems that he inherited with the team.

it's the gm's job to get the right peoples in the building.  it's up to the coaching staff to develop players/team chemistry.  winning cures everything.  from the sound of this place, you'd think we went 6-10 last year with an overpaid gettlemen roster.

Yea and during that tenure he was kept quiet to the public so he wasn't under the same scruntiny as he is now.  The head coach and G.M. during that time handled the players and the media.  Big difference.
