Bobcats v. Nets

Recommended Posts

Why? Our better record? Better line up? Better uniforms? That we'll go farther in the Playoffs than you? Too bad neither of us can knock off the Heat or Indy though.

Because your team is a bunch of cheap shot taking punks. All the way up to the head coach who likes running his mouth to opposing players.

Then when they got their ass spanked they walked off the court with time on the clock.

1- Big Al is 10 better than anyone on Brooklyn's roster

2- those shitty, boring black uniforms have nothing on purple/teal Hornets gear

We win tonight over Brooklyn (we gain a full game on Brooklyn).

Phoenix beats Washington (Phoenix moves closer to pushing Portland out of the Playoffs and giving us a better pick; we gain a full game on Washington).

Toronto beats Boston (keeps Toronto at 3 seed over Chicago for us to play if we get 6th seed).

Atlanta losing to Minnesota (we can put a full game on Atlanta).

Detroit beating Cleveland (helps Detroit closer to 9th pick to give us).

If those games close out like they are going and Miami and Memphis win (would rather play Indiana in a 2 seed vs 7 seed and Memphis can help push Portland out of the Playoffs), this will be a perfect night.

We're now 3 games back from Brooklyn for the 5th seed (not likely but not impossible) and 1 1/2 games behind Washington for the 6th seed. If Atlanta loses, we'll be 3 games ahead of the 8th seed.

If Memphis wins, Portland will be 1/2 game ahead of Golden State (6th seed),  1 1/2 games ahead of Memphis (7th seed), and 2 games ahead of Phoenix and Dallas for 8th seed and out of the playoffs. So 2 games separate us from getting the 24th pick and 14th pick from Portland.

Meanwhile, Detroit, with a win tonight, will be tied with Cleveland for the 9th pick, which would go to us.

Oh we could do this all day. Maybe if you guys played like we do, or the Pistons of old, you'd get farther than the 8th or 7th spot in the Playoffs once every few years. I'm not shocked at all you won. You were at home. You should have.

And no, while Big Al is elite, Johnson and Williams are just as good. The black and white is fresh, crisp, and appeasing to the eyes. Nothing else like it in the league unless you add silver and get the Spurs, lol.

But go ahead with a rebuttle. I won't follow up. No point. You'll lose in the first round and we'll win. Yawn. Same old same, man.

I wouldn't put it past Charlotte making it further than the Nets in the playoffs if they are able to get the sixth seed. Currently you guys would have to play Chicago and the Bulls are playing some of the best ball in the league.

Charlotte's remaining schedule is one big cupcake. As long as the team stays focused & plays hard we should end the season around 43-39.

Crowd was incredible tonight, especially for a mid-week game.

North Carolina is as big a basketball hot bed as their is in the country. Charlotte was the biggest, most faithful crowd in the NBA for over a decade. The hive used to absolutely rock. Then, just as quick as it came, Shinn & Stern destroyed it all; & Johnson did nothing to help.

Charlotte basketball has been a laughing stock for a decade. The atmosphere has been non existent. However, it is still a sleeping giant & you can slowly see it awakening. Michael Jordan has done a great job. Purging the roster, hiring the right front office personnel, hiring the right coach, putting together a good young core, bringing in a big money FA who is a borderline super star, & bringing back the purple & teal Hornets.

Jordan has helped awaken a sleeping giant. The future is bright. He's been a punch line in the media, but he's goons get the last laugh.

Williams- 14 ppg, 2 rpg, 6 apg

Johnson- 16 ppg, 3rpg, 3 apg

Walker- 18 ppg, 4 rpg, 6 apg

Jefferson- 22 ppg, 11 rpg, 2 apg

Neither of those guys are even better than Kemba, much less the monster that is Big Al.

In 2 years Charlotte will be a top team in the east with a stud C, great young core, & very good coach.

In 2 years Brooklyn will be bottom feeders over paying for old ass Williams & Johnson with a shitty coach.
