Dark horse pick for our first rounder... Mass Suicide would be had by all

Outside of Star, every pick last year was sort of a "what the fug" pick. DT back to back, Kug (no one knew him), LB and RB.

I'm going into this with 0 expectations for who the collective thinks should be picked come our turns. But just like every year people are going to freak out because "their guy" got passed over.

The board is going to fall differently than any mock can predict; so I'm just going to sit back, accept Gett's decisions and root that they work out for us

Going into the 2013 draft, the FO knew that Gross would prolly not be returning for 2014 and knew that only Kalil was a sure-fire starter for 2013 and 2014. Well, we drafted one OL. I know that Gett talks-up Hawg-Molly's, but there is really little to back up him going in that position early in the draft. I mean, we had CJ, Hardy and Kuechly up the middle, so DT need could have been less critical than the OL need even in that really deep 2013 pool of talent at the OL position.

That just really points to BPA regardless of the position.

If it weren't for Klein, I'd actually understand this pick. But AJ proved he's going to be a solid player for us. We should also understand that Gettleman's BPA is different than other's BPA, where OL/DL receive boosts above other positions.

You could justify OLB and DE in the first.

It's certainly not what I want to see, but with the age and injury history of TD and the cap hits of CJ and/or Hardy it wouldn't shock me.

The only picks that would shock me would be QB, RB and DT. I think you could make a case for everything else.

i keep hearing DL is more than in play for 1st rounder. i about half understand that and would still question that if thats the pick. of course last year i didnt like KK in second......yep missed that by a mile. dave knows more than the whole huddle combined (in regards to the draft), i will support the newest 1st round panther even if hes a LB,RB,DT,QB etc etc

shazier would not make me rage at all, that guy seems to be special. always have room on my team for special players. still prefer a heavy O base draft, for the love of science get cam someone to throw the ball to!
