Per Optimum Scouting big board:

28
WR BRANDON COOKS
OREGON STATE
60
WR JORDAN MATTHEWS
VANDERBILT
92
OT BILLY TURNER
NORTH DAKOTA STATE
128
WR DONTE MONCRIEF
OLE MISS
168
OT CORNELIUS LUCAS
KANSAS STATE
204
CB NEVIN LAWSON
UTAH STATE
225
CB LOUCHEIZ PURIFOY
FLORIDA

Well, that was completely unrealistic.  Though, I'd give up every pick we have in this draft to simply come out of it with Cooks, Matthews, and Moncrief.  Good lord.

Nightmare- Used Fanspeak board and tried BPA strategy. Although I like WRs, missed on all the tackles I wanted which I think is biggest need.

So, a re-do with a bias toward OT gave me this draft. Didn't get exact players I wanted because OT seems to go higher than ratings on Fanspeak. If this plays out on May 8, we may need to change "BPA" to  "B-OT-A":

28
OT MORGAN MOSES
VIRGINIA
60
WR DONTE MONCRIEF
MISSISSIPPI
92
OT JAMES HURST
UNC
128
WR CODY LATIMER
INDIANA
168
CB AARON COLVIN
OKLAHOMA
204
CB DONTAE JOHNSON
NORTH CAROLINA STATE
225
S MARQUESTON HUFF

You can now choose big boards to base the draft off of. If we get this draft, it would be amazing.

WR BRANDIN COOKS

OREGON STATE

60

OT CYRUS KOUANDJIO

ALABAMA

92

WR JARVIS LANDRY

C GABE IKARD

OKLAHOMA

TE ARTHUR LYNCH

GEORGIA

204

CB TIM SCOTT

NORTH CAROLINA

225

S DEZ SOUTHWARD

WISCONSIN

Cooks - best receiver left on board, and benjamin went at 18.

kouandjio - franchise tackle hanging around in the 2nd

Landry- somewhat of a reach, but RBs were all ahead of him. If we take a RB in this draft, i will lose my poo.

Ikard - Versatile, can move to guard.

Lynch - Good spot for a TE

Scott - CB project

Southward - Safety project

FYI Tim Scott from NC not in this draft.

Seastruck in round 4 is a shocker but if I got the chance at sims or seastrunk in the 4th after filling out with a starting wr and starting ot and a fringer our starting #3 (at worst a field stretching redzone target), I can handle a 2 down homerun hitting rb that can replace stewie and dwill next year. Webster in the 7th is pure developmental guy, monster athlete that you make room for via special teams this year.

It is bugged though: it selected dee ford 1st overall before. I have had great drafts and absolute wasteland of ot and wr after the 2nd. Imo this thing shows we really need to consider ot a must in one of the 1st 2 rounds if we dont find ot help the rest of the offseason

For instance http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/draft.php?d=ajhdus

Or worse still

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/draft.php?d=aiskpx

Comp laid waste to the OT class early. Love the wrs taken in each round but it makes getting a starting rt even questionable. Thats why we had to keep bell, replacing both RT and LT in the draft kills any chance of vastlyimproving other areas from last year on offense and leaves question on the line still. Damn otah....
