Ive done probably 20 mocks using all three draft lists since this feature came out. Ive been extremely pleased with virtually every single one.  There will be value to be had throughout the entire draft.  Certainly this tool isnt completely accurate as they throw in a bit of randomness so that you can draft over and over again with different results each time.  That said, the general value is there, unless all three of these lists are so far off they arent even worth using.  if we wan to, we can definitely walk away with 2 pass catchers. 2 OL, 2 DBs who are all of a decent caliber.

There will also be solid undrafted WR and CB, for sure.

These mock drafts could possibly be major indicators of which player will go where in the draft. I wonder if there is a tally on which player gets drafted the most at each position using every mock entered.

Like, say if player A gets drafted X percentage of the time over all drafts enterd into the system. If I were Kiper or another guru, I'd simply use this website that used every simulation ever entered to base my master mock off of. It'd be a good service and would be such a large sample size by every team represented that it would be a pretty good indicator based on perceived BPA for each team's fan base.

We, as fans, usually have a pretty good idea of what we think our team's needs are and who meets those needs going by the eye test. We are wrong more times than not, but so are the draft gurus and they have a more general idea about each team rather than a focus on each team like fans do.

I'd really be interested to see a mock based on all mocks. Any web masters out there? Cash in while you can because I can't be the first and only person to think about this.

sure...just don't flip out if we end up picking one at some point in the draft, because it's very possible the BPA in the middle rounds will be an RB.

It's very possible that we may be forced to cut Deangelo and who knows if Garner is able to step in or even if Stewart is finally 100% ready to take on full-time duties.

RBs coming out of college can be versatile and good value as well because of tier athleticism, which can translate to ST and maybe even different positional potential. Not to mention possible tradability.

Can't take these Sims seriously. Way, way too many unrealistic picks.

I agree.

But I just did this and I like it a lot...

1. Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State (Big, strong WR with decent speed... good route runner)

2. Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame (Huge, athletic TE with good hands... can add value to both run and pass games)

3. James Hurst, OT, North Carolina (Rehabbing a broken leg, but good value at this pick)

4. Hakeem Smith, S, Louisville (Lack of ideal size, but plays the ball well in the air)

5. Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida (Good CB size and played well in the SEC's best secondary)

6. Chris Davis, CB, Auburn (Smallish, but I picked him here for depth at CB and top-notch punt/kick return skills)

7. Michael Schofield, OT, Michigan (Excellent size and can play inside or outside)

No way. The Sim constantly overdrafts and/or underdrafts players. I've seen 3rd round guys being picked the 1st and 1st rounders dropping all the way the the 3rd, etc etc.

Don't put much stock into it. It's mainly for fun.

I hear what you're saying...too many random draft picks by the CPU that would skew the results.

Maybe if there was some way of disregarding CPU picks and only tabulating user-generated picks?

1st. Yankey

2nd. Bitonio

3rd. Landry

This is what i want in the draft, criticize if you want.

I would understand it if this was the way it shook out. It's not out of the realm of possibility that this could be BPA.

I guess it's really dependent on where the value lies with respect to what we already have on the roster at the cost the draft picks will demand over the course of their contracts.

Looking at our roster for OLinemen, only Kalil demands more than what a rookie first rounder would demand, and only Bell would garner more than what our second rounder would cost and both are starters on the line. Chandler, Silatolu and Scott are the early favorites to round out the starting positions along the line, with Kugbila, Williams, Bond and Folkerts as the backups.

Based on the roster, the FO would have to be really impressed with a rookie prospect to draft them, seeing as how the line is basically set, though tackle is a position that could be upgraded through the draft. The problem is that the OT pool of talent is really weak after the first 5 or so players that are available and an upgrade over what we already have is pretty unlikely as we are pretty strong at the OG position which is a position that is deep in this draft.

Not sure how it will shake out and only a little more than a month and a half till the draft.

Here was my first attempt. Went BPA all the way

28)   WR Kelvin Benjamin Florida St

60)   RB Carlos Hyde        Ohio St

92)   OT Jack Mewhort     Ohio St

128) WR Donte Moncrief  Ole Miss

168) TE Crockett Gilmore Colorado St

204) CB Bennett Jackson Notre Dame

225) OLB Ishaq Williams  Notre Dame

wasn't able to address all the needs I was hoping to but still addressed a lot of needs and added 7 really good players to the roster
