That doesn't concern me. Between the Kraken alter ego he's created and the sting of dropping to the 6th round I think he'll remain hungry. I think his ego depends on it.

Good point. I guess heavily incentive based compensation would solve that problem though. Dude wants his money.

Panthers GM Dave Gettleman believes the team is more likely to reach a long-term agreement with franchise player Greg Hardy now that free agency has died down.

Speaking in a Tuesday radio interview, Gettleman also touted the fact that the Panthers now have a better idea of their future cap commitments. The earlier the sides agree to a deal, the better for the Panthers, who would surely love to reduce Hardy's cap number as they go bargain hunting in free agency. Hardy can bide his time, however. The sides have until July 15 to reach an accord.
