I think if Cam has any kind of awareness he'll understand whether we sign him this year or next that he will want to go easy on his team to ensure they can help build around him to provide him championships...

 

it's rare, but I think if it ever happened, this would be the guy...

Glad to see him say something about Steve, but the 'football decision' doesn't look so great. Jim Harbaugh seems to think he can still be a deep threat. We'll see who is right soon enough.

FUG DG!!!!  HE HATES THE PANTHERS!!

 

 

Wouldn't pay him until next season anyway. It's an extension, not a new deal, so this year's amount stays the same whether we pay him today or next off-season.

i said as much after his 2nd year. I thought Cam would be the kind of guy the FO could talk to about the plans for the team and he would make wiggle room.

 

Cam signed his rookie contract immediately and said, "this is more money than i could ever dream about" and wouldn't hold out. He said that again this year. I just get the feeling Cam will get paid handsomely, but he will do so in a way that benefits the team.

 

we shall see

That's not true when you look at other extensions. Extensions come with bonuses. Jason Peters earned an extension and the prorated amount of the bonus will be applied this season.
