Panthers meeting with Brandin Cooks

im not really crazy about the kid..yes he is fast but he doesnt seem to be that great at making people miss. hell anything better than what we have now

I'm not a fan either. His 4.3 speed doesn't translate to the field imo. He relies on running lanes after catching the ball and more times than not doesn't make people miss.

He does track the ball in the air well. He's a better receiver than Tavon was coming out but he's not the playmaker Tavon was.

I think we'd get better value with grabbing one of the smaller type playmakers in the later rounds. My hope is a team takes Cooks and OBJ falls to us.

I just finished watching his cut-ups against Oregon, Arizona State and Washington in 2013 before posting this. I watched parts of his game against Colorado which seems to be his best cut-up reel. Nice catch in double coverage that DCK posted earlier.

Meh... Electric, but I'd rather have a 6-4+, jump ball kind of guy.

That's just me. Thought Kuechly was a skinny bitch when we drafted him, but was 1,000% wrong.

I'm just gunna let Gettleman make the pick. We'll get 3 starters in top 3 rounds.

Ya ill trust him with whatever we go with, just sit back and support whoever we draft

i too want a larger WR, but to dismiss Cooks because of his size is dumb. this guy is a legit talent, and would greatly help this offense. his 4.3 speed and shiftyness does show up on tape. plus he is a consistent hand catcher, and great route runner. i can honestly see him going to Philly, KC, Cleveland, NY Jets, and maybe San Fran jumping ahead of the panthers.

I really like this guy, but like everyone is saying I don't think he makes it to us at 28. Hoping we take OBJ or Cooks, but i'm going into the draft assuming we're taking the best tackle available.

I'd prefer Moses or Thomas at LT over Bell even though you can argue that'd be reaching. Neither make it to 60, Billy Turner is a reach here, and likely won't be there at 92.

I think everyone would agree LT couldn't be addressed due to cap issues. #1 WR spot as well. But there shouldn't be an enormous drop off in WR talent at 60 vs 28; though the same can't be said for the tackles.
