Guards in 2014: Silatolu and Kugbila?

there are probably numerous players right now that would start over Kugbila and I still expect more talent to be added at that position before the season starts

I wonder what is going on at RG  We re-signed Scott and we know what Chandler can do there.  They re-signed Garry Williams, a player who has held that position in the past as the starter.  We have big bodied, Long-armed Travis Bond who is listed as a T but played G in college and here last year.  That is 5 players (Scott, Bond, Chandler, Williams, and Kugbila) who can play RG, and 4 have experience there.  Who knows, they could bring in someone, but I think they feel the position is covered--just don't know who is covering.

Our Guard depth is pretty solid, Amini is a given starter at LG, but I believe Kugbilla will win the RG position. He has the size, length, and athletic ability to play better than Scott & Chandler especially in the run game. Having sat out a season will give him motivation and familiarity with the offense. I believe we use Chandler & Williams at the Tackle position, which is better suited for  their skill set.

I think you are right---maybe not right away, but eventually during the season.  Scott, in my opinion, was brought in to handle the job until Kugbila is ready (hopefully).  I really think they want to give Chandler, Bond, and Williams a chance to compete at T.  However, they all play multiple positions, so who knows?
