I went to Austin with one of my best friends a few years back after he graduated law school for a big graduation weekend. One thing you should check out if weather is warm is Lake Travis, We rented a party barge and a few jet skis and spent all day out there having fun. You don't have to go swimming either, you can just hang out and drink on barge.

The night life was a little meh during the week, but a lot of good music and kinda chill atmosphere if you like that. Most of the nightlife is on pecan st aka 6th st and are all walking distance of each other.

We went to the LBJ library and saw the museum which was kinda neat seeing a lot of the JFK related stuff and they also have one of the presidential cars there too if you're into historical stuff. The restaurants were all pretty good. There was a Brazilian grill that was probably the best food I ate there,i think it was called Fogo de Chao. Actually the best food we ate was this little dump off the highway between Houston and Austin that had some of the best BBQ I've eaten, so don't be afraid to try a hole in the wall place, it's BBQ country. Then again, remember you're in BBQ country and don't expect much from other type of food, the Italian restaurant we ate at was very meh.

Don't go to Austin and eat at Fogo de Chao, it's a chain that you can find just about anywhere. Plus you'll have the meat sweats for days.
