D-Jax Big Possibility of Being Cut

Recommended Posts

I'm beginning to think more and more that signing BOTH Williams and Stewart to huge deals is the dumbest thing this organization has done since Sean Gilbert.

EDIT: Nope, I take that back. I just remembered we extended Jake to a big contract after the Arizona playoff game. lolololol

(Sarcasm intended) No No No It is all Dave Gettlemans fault. What a sorry GM he turned out to be. He only helped us field a team last year that went 12-4 and won the NFC South Champiomship. That is what a lot of the pessimistic fans  want to hear. :)

the eagles want him gone. if they find a trade partner theyll get a pick and save around 8 mil. if nobody offers a trade they will cut him and still save around 6 mill.

They aren't in cap trouble, so saving money isn't an issue.

I understand wanting to trade him but cutting him? That's crazy. You don't get rid of a top 10 WR, in his prime, for no compensation, especially when Riley Cooper is your best option after DJax.

That's a fireable move by a GM imo.

Panthers could out bid any other team if they wanted to & create cap space.

Our cap situation is overblown. It's because Dave doesn't want to, not that he can't.

Sounds like there is more to it.

its not about the money. seems like kelly doesnt like him very much. both sides have already stated he would not be on the team this season. he will be traded . or he'll be cut. the money is a bonus for geting rid of a player you dont want.

Voth said there wasn't interest in a trade. Hasn't said anything about what would happen if Jackson were cut.

Are you guys telling me this stupid organization wouldn't have interest in a #1 receiver if they didn't even have to lose any picks to sign him? We're a couple of weeks into free agency, aren't most teams near the cap at this point besides leaving room for draft picks?

You really struggle with the basics of the salary cap.

We have huge money at DE....need to sign Cam and Luje to big contracts. Couple that with the fact that this is one of the best WR classes in decades.....and intelligent people understand that it would be crazy to drop 10m a year on a FA WR. Not to mention one that has bitched about his contract every year. Bitched when he was on a rookie contract...got a new big contract...and then started immediately bitching about that one.

PFT (also citing the Philadephia Inquirer, as Aaron Wilson did) now says there's "no one" who believes DeSean Jackson is an Eagle this year.

Plenty of speculation left as to the 'how', but the question of whether or not he's outta there looks to be settled.
