The New York Jets QB Situation

If that's true, it is weird he doesn't have a contract with a team then.

Ehh. Gino's still got 2 years left to "prove it"

....spolier: he wont.....

And 2 of the other 3 are unemployed. And Pyror's losing depth positioning as we speak. 1st) behind McGloin then 2) Schaub (or whoever the bring in). Wont be long until hes gone as well

Harrington and Shuler are WORLDS above Pryor and Teebs. I dont even think its close. Yes Jamarcus is on there, but at least the ball looks good releasing out of his hands. And leaf i never understood. Always seemed to be non football related with his breakdowns so idk. And yeah Aliki is fugging awful. Forgot about him. Only one i kept contemplating inuding is Steve Bono. But i know he wasnt THAT bad. I just always hated watching him for some reason

Worlds above? And you think Sanchez and Smith are worse than Russell, Leaf, and Akili? I think you have a minority opinion here.

Lol keep in mind we're discussing the worst 10 or so QBs ever . So im not stating any are even decent. But yeah id say Leaf for sure is better then the Sanchize and Gino. Only my opinion of course. Maybe russell should have been on there, idk. He at least looked good at LSU so i know he could have possibly made a play or 2. He was clearly the best "prospect" coming out. ive never seen a single thing outta Gino that any random college (DI) QB couldnt do right now

Again, remember what we're debating here. Theres very little evidence we can use to support any of these guys . Its not Brady vs Manning talk

Nothing wrong with having two starting caliber QB. Stop hating; the jets will be in the playoffs. They get ebron or evans, with that defense that's very similar to ours, they'll cause damage in the AFC. Hopefully they're not on our schedule. They're likely to win 11-12 games next year.

I'm not sure they have 1 starting caliber QB and they better hope for a WC because they're not beating the Pats.

The New York Jets Offensive Coordinator... (link)

Marty may make progress with Geno this year, but why put the kind of pressure on Geno that bringing in Vick does?

The New York fans and media will go berserk if Smith falters to start the season.

If you start Vick he'll do the same thing he's done since getting out of jail for murdering dogs, play somewhere between 1 to 13 games before getting beaten like a rag doll on the field puts him on the sidelines.

Bad idea Rex, this circus you didn't need if you're really serious about Geno Smith, which apparently you were at one point about Mark Sanchez.

The decision to cut Sanchez comes only two years and four months after coach Rex Ryan made a clear and unequivocal vow regarding Sanchez’s tenure with the team.

“He’s going to be our quarterback for as long as I am here, which I hope is a long, long time,” Ryan said in November 2011.  “We know we got the right guy.”

They still believed that after the 2011 season, signing Sanchez to a contract extension with so much guaranteed money over the first two years that there was no way out of the deal after a disastrous 2012, which included the infamous, nationally-televised “butt fumble” on Thanksgiving night.  That same year, the Jets traded for Tim TEEbow, an experiment that failed as badly as an experiment ever has failed since the day Peter Brady showed off his volcano to Marcia and her snooty friends.

Here we go with TEEbow number 2.

Are you sure about that. Geno was a 1st round projection throughout his senior year. He has the physical tools and he has a great arm. He just need to get better with his decision making. I think he'll surprise a lot of people this year. There are teams in worst qb situation than the jets and ripe for their own thread.
