The New York Jets QB Situation

I guess they are just gambling for the playoffs. It is a gamble because Vick CANNOT stay healthy, CANNOT consistently play smart and protect the ball and definitely wont be very happy playing second fiddle to Geno Smith, hence the reason he left Philly in the first place.

Vick is stating that he'll do everything in his power to help Geno be the best he can be.

Except...ya know...if they want him to start...which he certainly wouldn't mind doing...but only if they want it...but it'd be great...

Yeah...this is going places.

But not to worry.  I'm sure Rex Ryan will be able to mediate and keep the peace.  Rex is good at that sort of thing.

Right?

Couldn't happen to a better team.

Remember when Rex proclaimed that they knew they had the right guy and Sanchez would be THE guy as long as Rex was HC?

Yeah, about that.

I actually think Rex is a decent coach. It's just the fact he wants to be a celebrity and coach a football that makes him dislikable.

    • And those teams would lose. ------- I'm no Bryce Stan, but I have problem giving him his due. Sure, he has sucked so bad that his stats pre-benching are dragging what he's been able to do since, particularly the last three games, but to act like he hasn't actually looked like a QB with real promise for the last month is simply dishonest. All of a sudden (or not), certain Huddlers act like they have no concept of improvement---like they're suffering an inability to compartmentalize games or a group of games, or the inability to mentally separate Bryce's play when juxtaposed against the rest of the team. That's what analysis is all about. From my observation over the now decades of being here, I know that some of you can do it better than you're letting on. Just be honest about Bryce's improvement. He still may not be the future, but based upon his improvement the last month, it's rational to say that he just may have earned a chance to at least compete for the job next season. Of course he has to keep improving and show a level of consistency for the remainder of this season...
    • Missed kicks, a fumble, and a defense that breaks at the very worst time killed us
    • Bryce Young has arrived. I haven't been this excited in years.
