unless anyone else here can attend any game, practice, presser, etc.

Also, my urine stream goes farther.

Since you have 100 percent more access, why don't you tell G-man to consider trading a 5th or 6th for Denarius Moore?

I'm not saying I agree with it or like how it was handled. But Smith is silly to act like he didn't have a heads up far in advance. The new GM wasn't bluffing apparently. That's a loud message to everyone else. Sent from the Carolina Huddle App

That's essentially my opinion. It may have been necessary, but it was handled extremely poorly and it bothers me.

I didn't like the way it was handled either, but I'm not sure there would have been a good way to handle it when dealing with a personality like Smitty?

I seriously hope this bites Gettleman in the ass and fans run him out of town. The "it's just business" attitude is responsible for countless atrocities across the globe, both serious and non, and it needs to be punished. Just because it's business doesn't give you the right to be a complete ass hole, have some damn decency and class.

I understand older players get cut, but the way Steve was treated was inexcusable. You can run a business and not be a dick at the same time. If you can't, then you aren't good enough at your job.

It's also good to see the overwhelming majority side with SS on this, even tho some are doing their best to smear him.

Why is a ravens fan posting here?

645 yards and 4 touchdowns from our #1 wr...how will we ever replace him?????? I'm scared!!!!! We're screwed!!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyy what will we do????

lol 745 yrds sir. & many of those yards came at the most critical critical moments in certain games. He was still the best 3rd down converter by a mile. & Cam was barely averaging 200 yrds per game himself so I don't really get the constant criticism of his production. Also if u read all the way through I basically say his leadership may have helped more than anything. That without a doubt will be missed, at least in this 1st yr he's gone.

You are correct. My error. 745 yards in 2013.

Smitty is allowed to vent after all he's given to this organization. He should of been able to retire a Panther. He did the prudent thing deleting the tweet though. I feel him though. Good luck Smitty. Sent from my SPH-D710 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

I mean he did play for free

Twitter might be the worst thing that has happened to professional athletes.    :)

Got to admit that I am not the kind of fan who becomes a fan of individual players, just the team.  Truth is that Smith was a great player for us, but he wasn't as great last year as he was the years before, and probably wasn't worth the money we were paying him.  He was going to be gone within a couple of years anyway.  Gettleman just hastened the inevitable.  Yes, it should have been handled better, and they should have had a replacement ready for him.  But it wasn't, and they didn't.  At least now, we will be forced to move on, and might make a real effort to find a replacement.
