Has this week calmed your Gettle-fears?

Didn't worry and didn't panic and why? Because our GM in one year turned around our cap mess, made us competative, took us 12-4 NFCS champs & playoffs, retained one of the top 3 DEs, and is doing the job His way! I have every faith in the guy, maybe that will be pried wrong or maybe it will be shown to be correct, either way I'm excited the direction he's leading this franchise, he's building a winner and we sure don't know much about one of those, I have confidence he will draft well also.

Fans need to discover patience he's trying To building a sustainable winner.

Somewhat. Good signings, but we haven't given Hardy a long-term deal, haven't fixed the line and we still need to fill out our secondary and receiving corps. It's a start, but we're not nearly ready to compete.

As far as the roster itself, I was a little worried when we didn't land Nicks, because I think he could have been a key part of our passing game for years to come, but I'm pretty happy with our FA acquisitions. I think most of us knew we'd be losing a lot of FA this year and have to pick up more from the bargain bin, and tbh I'm pretty happy with our signings so far.

wasn't to high on nicks, but would have been a great pick-up at 3.5 mil if i'm correct. Didn't want but a couple of guys because everyone got over payed quickly.

there's a couple of things i'd like for gettleman to do better and there's a couple decisions i'm waiting to see what the overall outcome will be(releasing smith, tagging hardy, resigning bell, ect). but i understand no ones perfect and will just wait it out

Anyone who didn't think things would turn around, overreacted, and acted like a little kid was a moron to begin with.

Yeah our GM would let us go into the season with just the bare bones and players who have never taken a snap before...

I can only imagine how difficult some of you must be to deal with in real life.

Edit: and this was all during the first week of FA...it's like the rest of FA and the draft didn't even exist

Lets let a SB winning GM do his job...crazy concept I know.

He's a SB winning GM?

How did I not know this?

Ok no sarcasm needed, it was a mis type but thanks for showing your superior intelligence. Was trying to type this quick before a meeting at work, didn't double check it all

He was director of pro personnel and personally responsible for bringing in half the starting roster plus special teams players. of both Giants SB teams.

Part of the FO for 6 superbowl teams overall (not all winning)

Either way, my point is the same, trust DG.

He knows much more than huddle GM's. Pretty basic idea.

He was actually part of 8 SB teams of which 3 won, not sure what his involvement was but he knows about winning franchises I guess and has picked up a few good tips and hints along the way.

    • Not true at all. As someone else stated, Rivera switched to the 3-4 when Tepper urged him to do so. Before that, Capers ran the 3-4 when he was HC here.
    • For a copy cat league we never copy any of the good sides. I know alot here aren't sure about Bryce but there's only one way to know for sure get him some better weapons. Even if he's not the guy it will be a much better environment for the next guy
    • This is a stretch because tank dell didn't have the pressure of being a number 1 receiver this year or last. It's not the same when defenses have to focus on you which would be the case here. Stroud is the second most sacked qb in the league this year, he was not far off sacked as much as Bryce last year. He has been hit a lot in both his years in the league and still produces. Houston also pretty much has no run game this year and last so there is nothing to take the pressure off of moving the ball. Its all on him. What people need to do is stop overrating this Houston team. They are overachievers who arent built to win anytime soon, and slowik was never some God send OC. With No run game, no o line, and bryces limits as a qb. They are 5 times worse right now. Multiple years of 3 wins prior to getting Stroud and Ryans. Lets be realistic.
