don't care. all this guy needs is motivation. I am all the way down for this. But he's gotta WANT to come here for that to happen, because there will be more money elsewhere

Needs motivation? If prior success and contracts weren't motivation enough before, what makes coming here and playing for peanuts any better?

I'm not against it, but this is where I want JR, DG, RR, Proehl and whomever else to sit down with him and get inside his head. It he's truly moved past this then fine, give him a shot. But if there are any doubts I think you have to move on. Not only do you have to worry about suspension and losing his production, but how he affects chemistry and influences other are huge concerns.

An unmotivated Britt will still be more servicable than LaFell. We need to drop the choir boy act and take a chance on some players. I wouldn't doubt Britt is looking to prove himself to land another payday and long term security. Why not prove it with us?

Yeah I agree in then end 99.9% of the time it comes down to money, but his agent did say it would come down to playing time. He has already earned a first round contract and is only 25. So if he shows improvement this year he would still be in line for a nice payday. I think this could be one of the rare cases where it's not all about money.

I'm still trying to figure out where the concrete evidence or confirmation of him coming to visit here came from???  I said twice in this thread already that his agent was quoted as saying we showed interest but that they had yet to set up any visits, yet...  Although it was possible.

 

And yet, this whole thread has been a non-stop conversation about how he is on his way to visit here?  WTF is going on?
