Kenny Britt visiting Carolina

Kenny Britt has never caught over 50 balls or over 1000 yards in a season. He had one year where he caught 9 touchdowns. What makes him this legit #1 that people keep slobbing on his knob and claiming him to be?

He is probably the best option left. And would be a number 1 on our roster.

If you're going to have that kind of player on your team (and in your locker room), you'd better be extremely perceptive at knowing which ones are truly trying to clean up their act and which ones are just head cases that will never change.

How skilled is Gettleman at that?

Unknown.

Of course its unknown but I have a good feeling Gettleman isn't so socially retarded that he's going to take a huge chance on a locker room cancer. The generic point remains and we shall see..

Kenny Britt is coming off his worst season since being drafted in the first round in 2009. His 11 catches for 96 receiving yards were both career lows. Can we pay him big bucks and depend on him being the #1 receiver we need?

Signing Britt would not require big bucks.  Hell, I doubt it would require much more than veteran minimum to be honest.  All the talent in the world, but plenty of question marks both on and off the field.  I'm for rolling the dice on him as long as the contract lets us move on from him with minimal cap downside.  Build some nice incentives in there and see if this guy can actually perform to his potential.

No. But that doesn't mean we won't sign him.
