Kenny Britt visiting Carolina

I don't see how it can even be considered a possibility. They could make it work this by cutting Godfrey but after this year it would really hurt the teams ability to fill out a complete roster due to being cap strapped.

Someone else pointed out that his deal is actually more cap friendly over the next few years, so they'd only need to somehow rework this year.

I don't believe it will happen either, but if they wanted it badly enough, yes it indeed could.

great point jarhead! so glad you just dismissed that whole notion with a Aaron Hernandez reference.. what a zinger!

If you're going to have that kind of player on your team (and in your locker room), you'd better be extremely perceptive at knowing which ones are truly trying to clean up their act and which ones are just head cases that will never change.

How skilled is Gettleman at that?

Unknown.

Britt is supposed to be very religious, but just finds trouble.  His camp is boasting that he has not been in any trouble since 2012, after finding conflict 9 times in his first several years in the league.

We could offer a 1-year deal, but other teams are probably going to offer more.

I would love to know more about the plans for several members of this team---Godfrey tops the list.  An achilles?  Are we really counting on him at FS?  I suppose you could argue that they have time to take a "wait and see" approach, but he does have a $100k workout bonus.

If the Panthers were interested in D Jax id be shocked.

They cut a short WR making 7 million only to trade for another short WR making close to 11? Both considered locker room distractions by their teams?

I understand the dynamic big play ability of D Jax but just cant see it. Not when a Brandon Cooks seems availible in the draft at 4.3 speed and polished hands.

If we pull Godfrey's $4MM off the books, figure out Kraken's deal, and then ask DJax to restructure 2014's contract (spread the difference out off a signing bonus and then spread the remaining over 2015 - 2016), I feel like we can make this happen.  I don't claim to know the nuances of the financials, but Gettlemagic should be able to make this happen, no?  To give Cam a guy that appears to be tight with would go a long way.

Really?  What else does your crystal ball tell you?  Not saying it's for sure going to happen, but it's not accurate to say it won't happen.  There are just as many reasons to list why it could as to why it couldn't.

We may not.  But it seems like reports are focusing on the Panthers.  Inclines me to think that since they've shifted from the Jets to the Panthers.....that trade talks were and are very real.

We may not get him.......but they're trying to get him.
