I would think that if you came in as a GM and had a coach already in place that had a wait and see year, and he wins coach of the year......you would probably totally fine with keeping that coach.

GMAN has no choice now, now he will overcompensate to ensure this will not tarnish his legacy.

If anything we know he is arrogant, so I am sure he cares too much about his image to not rebuild our receiving core.

I don't know who we will have yet, but I'm very close to wagering that our 1-3 receivers will put up more yardage, receptions, and touchdowns than our 1-3 did last year. I will reserve this bet until just before OTA's.

 

Me too.  I speak to Cowboys, Ravens and Skins fans every week, and they're all predicting doom and gloom for our season due to having no receivers.

The always fail to mention the draft, of which I remind them.  A couple of people had the nerve to mention LaFell.  Last Saturday a Cowboy fan was telling me "You better hope you re-sign LaFell."  I laughed and said "Ha. I hope we don't sign Lafell."  

 

Usually it's the fan base that overestimates the importance of its own WRs, not other fans from the likes of the Cowboys.

Last year I was hoping that our defense would carry us through notwithstanding our receiving corps. I just don't see how an influx of young, legitimate talent is going to at least not be as good as what we had last year. With what I've seen the last four years I have a right to be delusional when it comes to our wide receivers.
