Not exactly sure what we are doing with all the minor workouts.

We seem to be working out a lot of 4th, 5th, and 6th wide receivers but with McNutt and King on the roster do you really need to be working out players like Jean and Cone? I'll give Underwood a break because he could possibly be a solid four.

You bring 80 guys to camp.  You only include the salaries of the top 51 for cap purposes so you can bring a bunch more guys on minimum contracts and as long as you give them little to no signing bonus you are out nothing and they don't count on the cap unless they make the final squad or in the top 51 as far as salary.

Also looking at Tiquan Underwood. He'd be a good pickup who would be able to give us a nice deep threat

"Lestar Jean - WR - Houston Texans: I know, you're thinking: "who?" Well, Jean does not have an impressive resume to be sure. But if you're looking for that...then you should turn on Madden, because that's not where the Chiefs are looking for FAs. Jean only has 10 catches over 2 years...but 8 of them have gone for 1st downs and 1 for a TD. He has quality size and speed. He was an UDFA for the Texans that has managed to stick with the team. As a depth WR, he would offer a good deal of value to the Chiefs."

Gotta give DG credit...the man over turns every rock to find players that few have ever heard of or know anything about. Either he is a talent guru or just using the cast net theory (see how many fish you can haul in and hope one or two are keepers). We will see what his strategies produce.
