posters thinking smitty doesn't have anything in his tank didn't watch last year..........................still gets good separation, still commands teams top cb's and had 750yds(estimate) while missing two games........plus he was our only threat at wr in the play-off game,besides ginn.

 

 

 

get it through your heads he wasn't cut because of performance.........the fact most play-off teams are showing interest should tell you something

I have been expecting a better WR corps this year, period. D-Jax, Smitty and J-Co, ain't had poo to do with that either.

For what it is worth we would only trade for him if we could rework his contract.  You take that 10 million dollar salary this year and some of the next 2 years  and convert it to a signing bonus of lets say 10 million and then you end up with a cap hit of like 5 million. He still gets the money but we get the cap relief. Not hard to do and with the dead cap money and other contracts coming down with the cap going up it could be doable.  I doubt we do it though, but it could be done.

 

Good call.  Hell, not only would he likely do it, but it would be in his best interest to do so.
