i'm glad that they are at least "looking" EVERYWHERE.  old and young FAs, possible trades, big and small schools draft prospects, and waiver wire players.  this is good.

My concern isn't with the draft pick (likely 3rd or lower), it's the fact he is owed $50 million.  Don't want to inherit that type of salary.  I'm sure we would renegotiate prior to trading but I can't see him taking  much less.

im not sure how much, but a good portion of that will be paid by the eagles.

And the Saints signed Byrd, you can always work around the cap. We can cut guys or restructure his deal.

Jackson is also in his prime and he got 5 more good years in him before he loses his speed.

Its like when we traded Jon Beason... we still have dead money from him on our books becuse we paid him signing bonus upfront.  That does not go away when traded.  Eagles will be responsible for D-Jax signing bonus.
