I wouldn't get to excited about us trading for DeSean Jackson.

Report: Chip Kelly calls DeSean Jackson to reassure him
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

Eagles coach Chip Kelly called receiver DeSean Jackson and told him not to worry about the trade rumors swirling around him, reports the Philadelphia Daily News. It appears the team is finally trying to tamp down the speculation.

We can pick up vets on cheap contracts after June 1st that are better suited for our system and would be better starters.

Munnerlyn has very good ball skills. Thats about it.

ball skills is what we need. That is our weasknes in the secondary. If the front  seven is ineffective we are dead in the water.

Find the quote where he says he wants more money. You wont find it because it was baited out of him on instagram. Someone asked if he was worth more money and well.. Imagine if someone asked G. Hardy that question.

He does regret not having a bigger signing bonus but he knows its his fault.

I think maybe you have that mixed up a bit. He attempted to clarify on instagram later after his initial comments.

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson would like a raise -- even though he has three years remaining on the five-year contract he signed in 2012.

"I definitely feel it's something deserving," Jackson said Monday, two days after the Eagles' season ended with a 26-24 playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints. "We'll see how that plays out.

"Hopefully, we can work things out smoothly and not have to worry about anything out of the ordinary."

Jackson attempted to clarify his comments later Monday on his Instagram account, claiming that he didn't ask for a new contract.

"To clarify any info that all people got twisted up!! I didn't ask for a new contract," Jackson posted on the account. "Don't listen to mixed words I didn't say ... Tired of dumb info being twisted to what I didn't say word up !! The question was brought to me I didn't bring it up !!"

If we could've cut clean from D-Will & Stewart with no hit, restructured Smith, & signed Hardy...

WR1- Hakeem Nicks

WR2- DeSean Jackson

slot- Steve Smith

TE- Greg Olsen

LT- Cyrus Kouandijo

LG- Travelle Wharton

C-- Ryan Kalil

RG- Nate Chandler

RT- James Hurst

RB- Mike Tolbert

QB- Cam Newton

Oh well...

Munnerlyn was never 'good' either. Could be blitz and return picks to the house? Yes but he sucked in coverage outside.

so cont the status quo is not helping the team.We have to upgrade the secondary or we will be in the same boat or worse than last year when they couldn't stop anything if the front 7 was ineffective. He is already used to the D schemes which gives advantage over another cb who is coming in that only offers the same level or worse of skills.

Wasnt Fua the other blast of d limeman by Hurney in the 3rd that year?

Yep. But it wasn't just Fua as the other d-lineman that year, oh no. They went back to back. It was hot.

But if I remember right, Fua was compesatory (bottom of the 3rd) and Fua was the first of the 4th. So we csn't have that much fun at the expense of the third round. . . Until you bring up Mike Seidman.
