What shotgun should I buy?

mossberg 500 is very versatile. you don't have to break the bank to get the base model, then over time, you can upgrade. i saw lots of these in the military and they're very reliable. just my opinion. good luck with your search.

Those are different though because they are mil spec. Some of the parts are different.

I have a M 500 & R 870. Mossberg was quite a bit cheaper & is a better gun overall.

yeah i know, but you can make the civilian model look similar if that's what you're into.

I dont have an answer for you, but I can offer some good info from the thread I started a while back concerning the same thing....

 

I still have not purchased a shotgun, but I did just order a Beretta CX4 Storm, should be in early next week... Carbine, FTW....

I was gonna buy shotgun last time but ended up buying AR15.

Yeah, the tactical version looks pretty much identical to a military version. I meant certain parts like the trigger mechanism, feed ramp, etc. Civilian models use plastics where the mil spec is metals. They also use different alloys on the two models.

They used to actually sell a mil spec model if I'm not mistaken, but it was very expensive.
