Gettleman is a Joke

The OP is just frustrated is all. Mature minds should know that. Stop nailing everyone to the cross who utters a negative word about G-man.

Agreed, but after only one year? Some people especially the yungins need to understand that real football doesn't work like Madden. So  thread after thread of this crap is getting old. Hurney screwed us and Gettleman is trying to fix the problem, but it will take time. Like 1095 days time, not one night with the cap turned off.

Gettleburger even said we'd be in cap hell for a couple of years.  This shouldn't be a shocker to anyone.  We can't sign expensive free agents, we just don't have the money.  The first couple of weeks of free agency is when top and mid tier talent gets top dollar.  Gman isn't being lazy, he's being smart.  He's waiting out the crazies.  We can't sign expensive free agents, but we can still sign good free agents once their price is reasonable.  There still a long time to go, no need to get all in a tizzy just yet.

but this has all already been covered in the 18 thousand other threads on this topic over the last week.

Not that I fundamentally disagree with you, because I do on a fundamental level.  But it is kind of ironic and very much arguable that G-man has set us farther back in "cap hell" by using the tag. All that talk about letting big dogs walk.  We were cap dead, to "cap challenged", and now have taken a step back to "cap hell". I don't blame him for tagging Hardy, but now we've paid a price. How big of a price is yet to be determined.

As for the "good" free agents left...I suppose it depends on the price. Sometimes the price makes something that you wouldn't normally buy very appealing. Hell, perhaps even better, everyone likes free food.

Did we miss out on Jerrico Cotchery yet? I need a good laugh...

From what I read. it may hinge upon what the Steelers decide to do with Lance Moore.  I've pretty much given up on Cotchery. If he comes it will be a semi-pleasant surprise.
