I'd say the 'most likely scenario' is simply that Cason wasn't happy with the offers he was receiving (you know the Panthers didn't toss out what he WANTS), so he fires his agent, and hires Rosenhaus to try to get a better deal...

GMan is just sticking to the plan - when Cason didn't take GMan's advice to go to another team, GMan's only option to continue the intentional destruction of the franchise was to stir up trouble between Cason and his agent.

Cason told his agent to get it done and when he learned he wasnt getting 50 mil over four years from marty hurney he fired his agent.

I'm an Arizona alum and was a freshman the same year Cason was a freshman out there.  

 

He is one of my all time favorite players and I'm going to be utterly disappointed if we don't end up landing him
