gettlemans not a fan gm he's a financial gm so he's not focused on wins and superbowls. he's focused on tv and press box sales to other companies. If we get wins out of it great if not no problem as long as the money's coming in. thats just the way its gonna be

it seems like thats the direction he's taking so its the only conclusion i can come to. After goin 12-4 every decision he's made is one that would alienate fans. If he kept steve smith and we had a losing season thats one thing. Now we pretty much have to have a winning season or he's gonna look like he sabotaged the season just to free up cap space. 

 

My gad dude. It is very obvious that being smart is not your strong suit. :)

I mean jesus dude. I am in the camp that believes our cap isn't that bad relatively, Gettleman is just convinced that he is smart enough to find talent in the dumpster, the Gross situation was handled badly, and cutting smitty was a huge mistake that we will regret on the field this year and off for years to come.

Still, with all that, to just completely give up on the guy that came in and proceeded to hit multiple draft picks and minor free agency signings out of the park is really stupid. Criticism is fine, but things at the level of "he and jerry don't want to win" just shows what some people really want to happen to this team.

Freeing up cap space isn't sabotaging the team. And he didn't sign any notable free agents last year and it raised us to 12-4.
