I honestly think G-man plans to get his receivers/offensive linemen through this year's draft. You get decent talent for real cheap. Plus, he'll probably grab some scraps after the pre-season (the players that don't make the roster).

I don't think it's so much that.  It's the fact we won 12 games last year (and a Super Bowl contender) and hes basically saying fug it, time to rebuild.  Which is absolutely ridiculous.

The obvious answer for this franchise is that we sign all the good players and save money by firing all the bad players....

 

See, it's easier when you just pretend that things like "the salary cap" and "contracts" don't exist.

I will be bummed if I can't utilize his 67 speed rating in Madden this coming season.

It is seriously becoming more and more of a certainty that we will start the season with Kealoha Pilares (2 career catches, 2 career knee injuries) as our most experienced WR.

 

Pilares has a 50% TD per catch rate.  That is AMAZING!!!  He could score 25 TDs next season

Cotchery is the only free agent I feel confident could come in and consistently start and be good. Rice and Britt both have the ability but can't stay on the field. This is a flub to let him leave town.
