Any interest in former Bears WR Earl Bennett?

The moment I heard that the Bears were going to approach Bennett regarding reducing his pay (after he did so last season), I knew he wouldn't be a Bear much longer and I immediately thought he would be a good fit with the Panthers.  He has great hands and good speed.  Regarding him not taking a pay cut with the Bears and summarily getting cut, I would think the Panthers could scoop him up on the relatively cheap (his salary was only going to be around $3 million, I think).  I don't believe there are any rules that once a player is cut that an offering team has to match the contract figure from his last contract...

He'll be a lot better option available than most of the retreads that are likely to be on the scrapheap...

This guy was literally the worst graded WR in the league last year according to PFF.  I don't usually put too much stock into their rankings but if you cant perform with Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall taking heat off you how will he do with King and McNutt?

...That said I'd still take him

I wish. But I'm actually kinda proud that we'll have the worst WR corps in NFL history.

yal sound dumb just cause they have no career stats dont mean they will suck.. both of them put up numbers in college there basically rookies with potential.... & everbody also sounds desperate as hell suggesting these old bum ass ninjas with basic talent league expirence isnt everything... we already cleaned house so we might as well start fresh with young talents..nobody over 28..
