Ginn Replacement?

You say that when you have something waiting. That's the problem I don't think people get.  Release Steve Smith I HATE IT....but whatever, IF we have a stud WR just waiting to fill his shoes along with other proven weapons. The positions we're gutting look like they will be filled with even WORSE talent.

I hope I'm proven wrong....but at this point I doubt it.

I know as fans we often get in a panic mode when we don't know the plan or big picture that the Panthers presently have, nor do we really need to at this early date.

Letting last years  starting wide receivers go and replacing them with draft choices, receivers already on the team, free agents or players that will be released later may not be as hard as one thinks but could take a little time for it all to play out.

Smitty is 35 and was due #1 money, while no longer having  # 1 receiver  skills... LaFell who had hands of stone and poor route running...Ginn a return man with good speed but not reliable to catch the long tough passes. ..Hixon  Never panned out. So if you break all of these receivers down, one can realize that we didn't have an elite group and replacing them may not be as hard as a lot of fans think.

Yeah, I hear you. I wasn't happy about the Smith thing, I was referencing the not overpaying for Lafell, Ginn, Munny, and Mitchell.

I just think that the 2013 team wasn't capable of a championship. I've always stated that until the RBs and CJs contracts are off the books, any winning seasons/playoff berths are a bonus. I don't mind taking a step back this year, because I think we will have a sustained run of excellence in 2015 and beyond.

Now, if Gettleman lets Cam get away.....I'll turn on him just like everyone else did. I think Cam probably knows that these moves are being made to help him in the long run, plus, Cam knows he's capable of making any offensive player around him better.

eagles are looking to trade Desean Jackson. If you were DG would you trade hardy for jackson or would you need some more value?

That would a terrible trade. Hardy stays.

Draft pick at most. We would still have to take on his contract at $10 million a year. It's highly unlikely.

I know that I sound like a broken record, but we as a fanbase really need to raise our standards. We should be excited that we are purging our ass WR corps and DBs not complaining about it.

Say it out loud. "I'm bummed that we let go of Captain Munnerlyn and Ted Ginn Jr., two of our better players!!" Now think about how silly you just sounded.

Captain is one of the best nickel CBs

Ginn is one of the best return men

Anyone else surprised by the similarity between Hester and Ginn?

I honestly didn't know how close they were until I looked it up.

It really could be Ginn 2.0

Have we shown any interest at all in him? How much interest has he garnered elsewhere?

Again we might already have the replacement on our roster Pilares is healthy and fast hope he is ready to step up.

One of Pilares' biggest strengths is something that can't be measured with stats. He has one of the best attitudes of any young player that I've seen in a long time, and he has a tremendous work ethic

Just to refresh your mind here is bio

We said the same thing about Armanti Edwards.

I like Pilares, but there are no guarantees that he even sticks around, let alone becomes a big contributor.

Rosemary or hops infused vodka is usually a good gin replacement.  Juniper allergies huh?

When I was growing up we had a Juniper Berry tree in the front yard. Every fall the birds would get drunk and fall out of the tree, fly into the front bay windows, or just do drunk bird stuff. Man that was entertainment.
